Support of MMA Research
In 2008 and 2009, Angels for Alyssa generated over $60,000 from its annual fundraising event plus another $6k in matching funds. These funds were sent to the Organic Acidemia Association, which was administering the MMA Research Fund at that time.
Beginning January 1, 2010, Angels for Alyssa assumed the administration of the MMA Research Fund when it established a donor agreement directly with National Institutes of Health. As administrator of the fund, Angels for Alyssa processed donations received globally as well as the proceeds from various fundraising events held by several families and friends afflicted with MMA.
Thanks to all our supporters, Angels for Alyssa (doing business as the MMA Research Fund) has provided additional funding of $1,235,000 directly to NIH for medical research!
